2nd Annual FIU Language Day
Friday, November 18, The Green Library at the Modesto Maidique Campus hosted the 2nd Annual FIU Language Day. The Strategic Language Institute participated in the event, and Professor Zhang Xia lead a free outdoor Tai Chi class for students who were in attendance. (Click on title to view pictures)
SLI Hosts French Teacher Workshop

Mandarin 2 Final Class and Cooking Demonstration
During the last day of Prof. Zhang Xia's Mandarin II class, she led a traditional Chinese cooking demonstration, and all the students and guests got to help prepare Chinese dumplings and Sichuan "hot pot." (Click on title to view pictures)
Free Placement Test for Language Classes at SLI
Friday, December 16, starting at 6:00 pm, SLI will be administering placement tests for ENGLISH, MANDARIN, PORTUGUESE, and SPANISH. RSVP required: please e-mail sli@fiu.edu, including your name, phone number, and desired language.
